Most European train operators offer different ticket options with a range of flexibilities. If you are certain of your travel date and won’t need to change, you can opt for a non-exchangeable and non-refundable ticket. These are usually cheaper but cannot have any amendments or refunds applied to them.

Alternatively, some train operators offer a more flexible ticket. These usually allow a refund and/or an exchange, but with a fee applied.

In some cases, there may also be tickets offered with complete flexibility allowing a full refund or exchange. These are usually the most expensive tickets.

When booking online, we strongly recommend that you read the fare conditions of your chosen tickets carefully before booking. When booking with an agent, these fare conditions will be explained to you. The fare conditions apply as soon as the booking has been completed and payment has been taken.
